Thibau Nys is a rider who needs little introduction. Despite growing up under the immense pressure of Belgian expectation, 20-year-old Thibau has emerged from the junior ranks as one of the most promising talents of his cycling-mad country. Fans of cyclocross will already be familiar with Thibau, who spends his winters racing with the Baloise-Trek Lions, like teammates Lucinda Brand and Shirin van Anrooij. Although cyclocross was his first love, Thibau is keen to carve out his own name in the annals of road cycling, and has already made a compelling start. Already with a junior ‘cross world title to his name, Thibau showed he is just as talented on the road with victory in the 2021 U23 European road race championships. He’s one of the most hotly anticipated youngsters on the scene and Lidl-Trek are eager to help him unleash his potential on the road.
