In 2020, Alexander Kamp made the step into the WorldTour with Trek-Segafredo after an outstanding 2019 season. He took the most significant victory of his career in winning the third stage of the 2019 Tour de Yorkshire and went on to finish in fourth place overall. Alexander is an all-rounder who Trek-Segafredo had been following for a few years – he also won the GC in the 2019 Circuit des Ardennes International – and won a stage win and finished second overall at the Tour of Norway in 2018.  Alex started his professional career in 2012 and earned his spot in the WorldTour through hard work and persistence. He is a valuable teammate with a willingness to give everything to the Team.

If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?

A fox so I could be so full of wisdom. Like when the fox told the little Prince: "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."

Who inspires you? Why?

People who follow their passion and feel happy everyday they wake up. Because it's a great motivation for living.

If you could borrow one cycling aptitude from any of your Trek-Segafredo teammates what would it be and from whom?

Emils Liepins. He's our Leonardo DiCaprio in the team - good looking, smart and super fast on the bike!
