In 2020, at age 27, Emils Liepins got his first go in the WorldTour with Trek-Segafredo. Racing for one of the top UCI Pro Continental teams, Wallonie-Bruxelles, Emils proved his capabilities with numerous top-10 results over the 2019 season, including a stage win in Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali, catching the attention of Trek-Segafredo. Emils is a versatile rider with a fast-finishing kick. He can tackle everything from the grueling Classics to stage races, providing support for the team's leaders and leading out the sprinters. He hails from Latvia, and alongside compatriot Toms Skujins, has doubled the presence of the small Eastern European country in Trek-Segafredo. Emils is the reigning Latvian road race champion and proudly shows his country's colors wherever he his racing.

In midsummer we come all together, sing songs, and dance all night until sunrise.
