A thoroughbred climber, Kenny Elissonde arrived in Trek-Segafredo after three years with Team Ineos. Kenny provides heavy-duty support in the mountains, a critical role in Grand Tours and hilly races. In his early years as a professional, his superior climbing ability landed him a win atop the infamous Angliru in the 2013 Vuelta a España. He has excelled as a super-domestique throughout his career, riding in support of riders like Chris Froome and Geraint Thomas. Kenny rode the Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a España numerous times and realized a dream, his first Tour de France in 2020. He played critical support for Richie Porte in the high mountains, helping the Tasmanian secure a long-sought-after Tour podium.
