Kenny
Elissonde
A thoroughbred climber, Kenny Elissonde arrived in Trek-Segafredo after three years with Team Ineos where he rode in support of Chris Froome and Geraint Thomas. Kenny excels in long mountain climbs, and in his early years as a professional, won the stage summit of the infamous Angliru in the 2013 Vuelta a España. He has excelled as a super-domestique throughout his career, most notably in the Grand Tours. A veteran of numerous Giros and Vueltas, he checked off his first Tour de France in 2020, a memorable moment in his career. In 2021, he came close to capturing his dream, finishing second in Stage 11 at the Tour after a concerted effort in the breakaway with teammate Bauke Mollema. Nicknamed King Kenny, he has a keen interest in art, and is undoubtedly one of the nicest riders you'll find in the pro peloton.
