Leah Thomas is a new arrival in Trek-Segafredo after one year with Movistar and two years with Bigla Pro Cycling. Leah Thomas honed her early athletic talents through competitive gymnastics and long-distance running in her University years until severe plantar fascitiis forced her onto a bike. In 2013, she competed in her first cycling race and within a few years decided to put a teaching profession on hold to pursue cycling full-time. Leah is an all-arounder that thrives in tough, dynamic races. Some of her biggest accolades include 3rd in Strade Bianche (2020) and victories in the Tour of Scotland (2019) and Tour de l'Ardèche (2021). Leah is also a proficient time trialist, winning the Chrono des Nations (2019) and Chrono Champenois (2018), plus finishing twice in the top-10 in the World Championships time trial. Never one to hold back, her attacking style fits perfectly with the Team’s ethos.

What’s one of your favorite memories from the past year?

Winning Ardeche this past season was a real team effort and it was special that everyone was able to contribute to the overall win.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

I use to put ketchup on everything as a little kid. As a six-year-old, I even made ketchupsicles (ketchup popsicles)!

What advice would you give to your teenage self?

Follow your own path. Listen to your gut and trust what it tells you. Surround yourself with people who uplift you and encourage you to be your best- don't worry about the others.
