Enduro World Series Finale report

Winton finishes season in third overall

The 2018 Enduro World Series has been the year of anomaly. Variable weather, riders struggling throughout the season, and an ever growing footprint of races traveling to all corners of the earth.

For Trek Factory Racing, it was a terrific season, with Katy Winton showing exceptional consistency in the face of adversity to secure a third pace overall in the series.

Katy’s race this weekend was indicative of her season overall finish, with several third place finishes throughout the weekend. Her consistent performance at Finale mirrored her performances all year in the Enduro World Series.

Casey Brown is a rider of many talents, and always good for a solid result. Finale was no exception, where Casey walked away with a sixth place finish.

"This was the most challenging EWS race for me so far, the transfers were big and the stages awkward and difficult, two crashes huge learning experience and I’m stoked to pull off 6th position."

Lewis Buchanan has been battling with the Enduro World Series this year. Luck has not been on his side, but the intrepid Scot has never stopped the fight.

"This weekend all in all was a great way to cap the season off. I had great speed all weekend but some bad luck with a mechanical issue on stage 3 that really affected my result. I laid down pretty good stage finishes & I’m healthy and completed my first season of racing Enduro. Looking forward to an even better 2018. Thanks to the whole squad for their work & it’s been a pleasure working with the team this year."

The 2018 Enduro World Series calendar is ready, and the team is set for the season to come. Stay tuned for more information on the year to come!
