Van Der Haar wins Geraardsbergen Cross

Dutchman hits out strong for season opener

It was a wild weekend for Lars Van Der Haar as he took the win over reigning World Chamion Wout Van Aert. The early season test at Geraardsbergen Cross saw numerous cross racers looking to test their form, and gauge one another prior to the first World Cup in Waterloo, Wisconsin. It was Lars who would take the win, with ambitions to continue the pace in weeks to come.

Lars wasn’t looking for the win, but was pleased to see it come to him in advance of bigger goals.

"Unexpected win in Geraardsbergen, but a very nice one. I’m super happy to start the season like that and hope to continue the good results throughout the season.
But mostly next week at the first World Cup in Waterloo. Being organised at the HQ of Trek, it’s our home away from home – so I really look forward to it.”
