Thank you, Stéphane!

Stéphane Tempier was an important veteran presence for two seasons with TFR

Stéphane Tempier was a consummate teammate and competitor for two seasons with Trek Factory Racing. He and Trek will be parting ways at the end of 2021, but we can’t thank him enough for how he helped lead a tight-knit team

“I joined one of the best mountain bike teams and rode with the greatest brand since 2019,” Stéphane said. “I am proud of that. It was a big step in my career and I will never forget that time in my life.”

Stéphane joined TFR before the 2020 season.

Stéphane’s competition highlights included a seventh-place finish at the 2020 World Cup race in Nove Mesto, and two fourth place finishes at French National Championships. Off the bike, he was a team favorite.

Stéphane and men’s teammate Anton Cooper were particularly close, keeping each other’s spirits up during training before battling together in men’s elite races. He felt a connection with all of the TFR riders and staff, however.

“This is an international team and that is so enriching,” Stéphane said. “We would talk about everyone’s cultures, from the U.S., to Great Britain, New Zealand, Switzerland, Spain and Australia.”

Stéphane has a new team for 2022, which he will announce. He is looking forward to lining up at World Cups again next season.

“I will be in the paddock, and I will stop by the Trek pit to drink a coffee and talk with my old teammates!” Stéphane said.

Thank you, Stéphane! And all the best on this coming season and beyond.
