In only his second race back from injury, Giacomo sprints to third place in the rain-soaked WorldTour Classic
I did a good sprint – position was good – maybe I miss some power still, but from where I came from this is understandable. I think, and I hope, the power is coming soon to win some races for the rest of the season.
Today was a really tough race because of the weather conditions. It was raining all day long, narrow roads, up and down, so we had to be really focused in the race all day.
What can I say? I used the team to keep me up at the front in the middle of the race when we had the climbs, and then Ryan (Mullen) was there for the final, it was perfect. He brought me into a good position in the final corner.
