Ott and Picchiottino score podiums in Moab Enduro Cup

Cooper Ott won the women’s event at the Moab stop of the Enduro Cup, taking the win over Lauren Bingham and Anne Galyean. Cooper is coming off of an exceptional 2016 that saw the overall win in the BME series. The race in Cooper’s words,

"Race day was overcast which was a nice change from the sunny and 90 degree weather in practice. The key to the race was finding flow on the slick rock trails and blasting through the choppy sections. I was able to keep it smooth and consistent through all four stages. The slash was the perfect bike for the job!"

Trek Test Team Racing showed up in force, with the day’s best result coming from Cole Picchiottino with a second in the Pro Men’s. Cole raced hard throughout the day, winning the final stage, but eventually falling to Cody Kelley. In his words,

"I've never been to Moab before, so I had a blast riding all week, and the race went pretty well for me. I had a slow start in the first stage, but I was able to build throughout the race and follow it up with two second place finishes on the next two stages, and a win on the final stage. Courses had a lot of chunky bits with square edges, so you really had to focus on keeping your flow."

Rounding out the results for the team is a ninth in the Pro Men for Evander Hughes, and a win the expert class for junior rider Travis Claypool.
