The Hungarian rider strengthens women's team roster
Lidl-Trek is delighted to announce the signing of Blanka Vas, who will join the team from October this year on a contract that will see her race in the Lidl-Trek colours through the end of 2028.
The Hungarian rider brings a wealth of experience and an impressive record across multiple disciplines to the team. Still only 25 years old, Vas has established herself as one of the most versatile riders in the peloton, combining her strength, explosiveness and racing instincts to compete at the highest level on both the road and in cyclocross.
Having already made her mark on some of the biggest stages in professional cycling – with stage wins at the Tour de France Femmes and Giro d’Italia Women, as well as multiple World Championship medals – Vas now begins a new chapter with Lidl-Trek, where she will add further depth and firepower to an ambitious Women’s WorldTour roster.
Speaking about her choice to join Lidl-Trek, Vas said:
I have very good feelings about it and can’t wait to get to know everyone in the team. I am super excited. I’m mostly looking forward to the new environment, the new challenges and everything I can learn. I’m excited to start this new chapter, get to know everyone and see what we can achieve together as a team.

Vas’ ability to adapt to different race scenarios makes her a valuable addition to Lidl-Trek. Equally capable of fighting for victory herself or playing an important role in support of her teammates, the Hungarian has the versatility to make an impact across a wide range of races.
Her arrival also underlines Lidl-Trek’s continued commitment to building a team capable of competing for the biggest victories in women’s cycling, while providing an environment in which riders can continue to develop and reach their full potential.
“I don’t know too many people on the team yet, but I’ve been teammates with Niamh before and I really enjoyed racing with her. I’m really happy that we’ll be wearing the same colours again,” Vas commented.
“I hope I can keep improving and become a stronger rider. I’d also like to get some experience in a leadership role at some races and see how I can handle that. I think it would be a good opportunity for me to learn and grow.”

Vas will officially begin her time with Lidl-Trek in October ahead of the cyclocross season, with the 2027 season marking the start of her first full campaign in the team’s colours.
