A day for the breakaway?
Seen as one of the flatter days of this year’s Giro Rosa, today’s stage was one of the few opportunities for the sprinters, but with many undulations and turns, it also favoured a breakaway. Starting in Lissone, the 101.1 km course passed through many small villages as it wound its way around to the finish in Carate Brianza.
