Lidl-Trek welcomes Clara Copponi on two-year contract

Lidl-Trek increase sprint options with addition of 24-year-old sprinter Copponi

Lidl-Trek is thrilled to announce the exciting addition of Clara Copponi to its roster for the 2024 season. Copponi’s move to the US-registered Women’s WorldTeam marks a significant turning point in her career, and both the Team and Copponi are eager to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

“I’m super excited! It will be a big change for me to transition from a French team to a foreign one,” Copponi shared enthusiastically. “With the language, new teammates, staff, and all the new habits, I’ll be out of my comfort zone, and that’s also what I’m looking for.”

Eager to make her mark as a sprinter and classics rider, Copponi believes that the new environment will help her achieve her goals. “I really want to grow as a sprinter and classics rider. I think I can also contribute in many races and become the best version of myself in this new environment.”
