Blijlevens will bring his vast experience to strengthen Lidl-Trek’s women’s team

Lidl-Trek is pleased to announce that Jeroen Blijlevens will join its women’s team as Sport Director from 2024 onwards. Blijlevens enjoyed a storied career as a professional, having won 55 professional races, including multiple stages of all three Grand Tours. After retiring from racing in 2004, Blijlevens made the switch to the team car, most recently working with CCC – Liv until 2020.

“Since Trek launched the women’s team in 2019, I’ve always seen it as a highly-professional team that is always racing together, committed to a plan,” said Blijlevens. “I’m excited to join this environment and contribute to achieving great results together. I know Ina-Yoko very well and have a lot of respect for her. It will be great to work together next year.

“I’ll bring to the Team my 11 years of experience as a professional cyclist and 9 years as a women’s sport director. I hope to share my experience and knowledge and together as a team to go for the highest achievable goal. I’m looking forward to working with one of the strongest teams in the peloton which has great staff and sponsors behind it.”
