Lidl-Trek strengthens organisation with four senior appointments

As the team enters a new era of ownership and ambition, Lidl-Trek announces a series of appointments that strengthen the organisation across finance, marketing, racing operations, and the Women’s Team.

Lidl-Trek has bold goals for the coming years: claiming yellow jerseys at both the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes. Achieving this requires not just talent on the road, but a world-class organisation behind it. Today, the team announces four appointments that reflect both the ambitions of the new ownership structure and a commitment to building an environment where those ambitions can be realised.

Tobias Zwick — Head of Finance and Admin

Tobias Zwick joins Lidl-Trek from Lidl, where he built an extensive career within the Schwarz Group, developing a deep understanding of the group’s commercial structure, processes, and strategic priorities. In his new role as Head of Finance and Admin, Tobias will ensure that the administrational foundations of the team are closely aligned with the ambitions of the new ownership – identifying synergies, optimizing resources, and creating the commercial conditions for long-term success.

Moritz Bock — Head of Marketing

Moritz Bock brings two decades of experience in brand building and sports marketing to Lidl-Trek, having spent fifteen of those years at Red Bull. His background spans FMCG brand strategy, brand & sponsorship activation, and audience development, alongside a diploma in sports management and a lifelong connection to cycling. As Head of Marketing, Moritz will lead the team’s strategic communications and fan engagement efforts, with a particular focus on commercial diversification and building a more direct relationship between Lidl-Trek and its global fanbase.

Bernie Eisel — Head of Racing

With a 19-year-long professional racing career coupled with four years as a Sports Director, Bernie Eisel needs little introduction. Over his time in the peloton and in the team car, he has accumulated a rare combination of tactical intelligence, race experience, and the ability to foster trust within a team environment. Head of Racing is a newly created role at Lidl-Trek, reflecting the team’s intention to bring greater strategic depth to race planning and schedule management across the men’s, women’s and development teams.

Fränk Schleck — Manager, Lidl-Trek Women’s Team

Fränk Schleck, who joined Lidl-Trek at the start of the year as a Sports Director, moves into the role of Women’s Team Manager. He brings a deep understanding of elite athlete development and a strong network across the European racing community built over a career at the very highest level of the sport. His recent role as national coordinator with the Luxembourg women’s programme, which spanned coaching and new initiatives, has given him a clear perspective on what the next generation of women’s racing demands, both tactically and in terms of rider support structures.

Michael Rogers — Departure

By mutual agreement, Michael Rogers will part ways with the team, concluding his role as Women’s Team Manager at the end of the spring classics as the team reshapes its approach to the Women’s programme. Lidl-Trek would like to thank Michael for his commitment and contribution over the past two years, notably during a period that included classics and grand tour stage victories. Michael expressed his gratitude to the riders, staff and partners for their support, and Lidl-Trek wishes him well in his next chapter.
