It was incredible. The first day of my life with the Maglia Rosa. I still can’t believe it.

A lot of riders came up to me today to say congratulations and enjoy the day, enjoy the moment.
In the last five kilometers we knew it could be a little dangerous, so I tried to stay in the front to stay safe and not crash. When I knew I had survived, then I dropped a little bit behind.

I enjoyed the day – it was one of the best days of my life.
