Tim Torn Teutenberg gets the Tour de Hongrie off to a promising start with 2nd on the opening stage.
Tim delivered an impressive sprint in the final of the 210km stage from Budapest to Gyor, with Danny van Poppel (Red Bull–BORA–Hansgrohe) taking the victory, narrowly edging out Teutenberg. His strong finish earned him valuable points and a 6-second time bonus, positioning him second in the general classification, just 4 seconds behind van Poppel. Today’s performance proves that he’s a real contender for the upcoming stages.

In Tim's words..
It was actually a pretty chill day. Breakaway got away without much stress and even for the final, the roads were nice and wide. The team positioned me well in the final and did a great job all day. In the last kilometres, Alex brought me into a great position and dropped me off on the wheel of Groenewegen and after the last corner the guy in front let the wheel of Van Poppel go. I had to squeeze a little on the inside and opened my sprint but unfortunetly couldn't quite catch him but I had some good legs in the sprint.
