Tim Torn Teutenberg showed his class on the second stage of the Tour de Hungary to finish on the podium once again.
Tim secured his second consecutive podium finish at the end of the 177km stage from Veszprém to Siófok, crossing the line in third place. A large crash in the crosswinds earlier in the day took down much of the bunch, including Alex Kirsch and Albert Withen Philipsen. Both were able to remount and help Teutenberg in the fast finish. It was business as usual for Tim Declerq, pulling hard on the front of the peloton and keeping the pace high in the final kilometres. Teutenberg found himself unable to find space to fully launch his sprint until the dying metres where he came with pace but, unfortunately, the line came too soon.
More chances to come for our German powerhouse!

Tim's reaction -
It was a hectic day, especially with the wind. After the big crash, everyone was really nervous. In the final, it was just one long road and still, the nerves were high. I didn't have the best position in the last kilometre so I had to move up quite a few places and it was really fast. I just had to try my best to the line but it wasn't enough. Still another solid day. I hope everyone who crashed has a good recovery!
