31-year-old Austrian climber signs two-year deal to bolster Lidl-Trek in the mountains
Lidl-Trek proudly welcomes Patrick Konrad to its ranks as the Team continues to add talent for the 2024 season. Konrad, a Tour de France stage winner and two-time national champion, brings a versatile skill-set and determination to the Team, and is excited to play a crucial role in achieving future victories for Lidl-Trek. Konrad also counts two top-10 finishes at the Giro d’Italia, underscoring his ability as a GC rider. The American team is eager to harness Konrad’s potential as it sets its sights on greater triumphs in the coming years.
“New beginnings always bring new motivation, so I am really looking forward to this new chapter,” shared Patrick Konrad. “I am quite good on different terrains, so we will find out about my exact role as soon as we start to plan the next season. Anyway, I hope I can help the Team achieve great successes. I want to help achieve the Team’s goals for the season whilst in terms of personal goals, I would love to take another Grand Tour stage win.”
