‘Youth + Glory’ Episode 2 dives into the emotions of a World Cup debut

Wide-eyed and having fun in Lourdes with the RockShox Trek Race Team

Tegan Cruz found out this weekend what his teammates Vali Höll and Jamie Edmondson already knew: There’s nothing like your first World Cup. And in Episode 2 of “Youth + Glory,” a video series following the RockShox Trek Race Team throughout the year, you can watch him anxiously prepare for his first run down the famous track in Lourdes. (Spoiler alert: Tegster crushes it.)

The RockShox Trek kids make up the youngest team in downhill racing. But despite their age, they’re showing out among the fastest riders in the sport.

Höll is the reigning overall World Cup winner. She took fourth in Lourdes after winning qualifying, foreshadowing what should be a thrilling battle for the women’s overall title throughout the season. Edmondson is an enduro dynamo who took fourth at a World Cup race in Lousã in 2019. In Lourdes, he bounced back healthy and in good spirits after hitting a tree during his final run (and posting a fast first split just before that). And in his first ever World Cup final, Cruz took 10th in the junior category.

Be sure to follow the team on Instagram, and keep up with new episodes of “Youth + Glory” as they come out. There may not be a more fascinating, or more fun, team on the circuit this year.
