Kade Edwards takes third on a ferocious Red Bull Hardline course

Kade Edwards was made for tracks like these

Red Bull Hardline is one of the most unique events in mountain biking, combining the speed and technicality of downhill racing with the massive jumps and freelance spirit of slopestyle. It is, in other words, an event almost tailor-made for Trek Factory Racing’s high flying Kade Edwards.

He proved that by taking third in the event against a gnarly course and stacked field. You can watch Kade’s run, as well the silver and gold medal rides, right here, courtesy of Red Bull TV.

Edwards had the privilege of racing with his teammate Reece Wilson on the call. Wilson reflected on Edwards’ maturity and control this season, and his results prove that. Edwards has found himself in the hot seat several times at World Cup events this year, and had a career best result when he finished ninth in Les Gets. In the midst of all that, he also took bronze in the Whip-Off at Crankworx.

There doesn’t seem to be anything Edwards can’t do on two wheels. And to watch him unleash on his way to an incredible finish like he did at Hardline … well, you begin to understand why so many are so enamored with the 21-year-old’s talent.
