A rainbow jersey for the British rider in Leogang, Austria
What. A. Day.
Reece Wilson is a fighter, and fight is exactly what he did on a muddy day in Austria for the World Championship title. In conditions that likely made him feel right at home, Reece took the win of a lifetime to crown himself World Champion. An early top time put him in the hot seat for quite a while, as rider after rider failed to match his time. The last rider to come down was the reigning World Champion, who looked slightly off the pace prior to a small crash, all but securing Reece’s win.
Needless to say, Reece is stoked.
I was ready for the conditions, I just believed in myself. I came here believing I could win, but a top five was my goal. When I saw the bigger riders struggling, those hopes and goals slowly became real. This win means a lot, its been a wild couple of years in the sport, and I definitely almost gave up along the way. But it just means so much to make it here and to have this day.

Reece and the team will take the World Championship colors to the remaining round of the World Cup circuit in the coming weeks. Hang tight!
