Trek Factory Racing DH scores in Austrian Alps
The World Cup DH circus continued this weekend in beautiful Leogang, Austria. After a historically brutal Fort William the previous week, riders were perhaps looking for smoother sailing in mainland Europe. Teams and athletes were met by incredible vistas and a rowdy race track.
The weekend kicked off with the full battery of track walks, and immediately moved in with practice. Riders found a fast course with plenty of tricky sections and hidden land mines. Qualifications proved a hearty challenge, with none of the riders finishing in terrific spots, and Kade Edwards missing the cut.
Regardless of the rocky start, the elite riders finished it off strong with a seventh for Charlie Harrison, a 16th for Reece Wilson, and junior rider Ethan Shandro in 17th.

Reece was up first
"Real happy to bounce back with a solid top 20 after last week," said Reece Wilson. "Felt I rode a little too safe in sections just to play it safe which pushed me a little further back than I wanted to be. Overall I’m pumped to build on it!
A solid finish for Reece, who was on the hot seat for some time
Charlie came in hot with a rowdy run
It was a TFR hot seat for a good bit
Such a good weekend in Leogang," said Charlie Harrison! "Beautiful views, great track, and had an amazing time with the team. I was really happy to be back in the top 10 after a tough weekend last round. I’m looking forward to heading to Innsbruck this week for Crankworx!
A solid weekend
Another weekend in the books
