Winton repeats with third in EWS#2

Katy Winton takes third, with Pedro Burns in 15th

It was another action packed weekend of Enduro Word Series (EWS) in Manizales, Colombia with the Trek Factory Racing team making a firm impression. Katy Winton climbed her way onto the final podium with a strong third place overall finish, while Pedro Burnos finishes an impressive 15th, and Ruaridh Cunningham slotted into 26th.

Ruaridh took a pass from racing the first EWS round after a shoulder injury, but round number two was game on. The opening urban race was a good result for Ruaridh, followed by solid top-10 stage finishes in the last three stages. The combination allowed for a 26th place finish for the affable Scot.

Pedro Burns continues to impress with a 15th place finish. The youngest rider in the top-20 made his mark by riding a consistent race, with strong top-5s moving him up into his best finish yet.

Katy Winton proved again she is at the top of the enduro discipline with her consistent overall finish. Never falling out of the top-10 for stage finishes, Katy wont the last stage, and again took third place overall. The strong podium on Sunday adds to Katy’s third place last weekend, and places her in strong position prior to the third round of the EWS in Olargues, France.
