Lauren Goss wins 34th annual Florida event
This season, Lauren Goss decided to postpone the race season to focus on building a solid base going into 2017. That work paid off with a win at the St. Anthony’s Triathlon this weekend. In Lauren’s words,
"I pushed the swim and run to transition so I could try and get a little gap on the bike. My plan was to get away and out of sight on the bike. It was very windy so I just locked in a good pace and never looked back. I got off with a 90" lead and started the run very conservatively because I knew the last 5k would be into the wind and hot. I was able to add to my lead and grab the win!"
The next race for Lauren will be the Ironman 70.3 Pan American Championships in Monterrey Mexico on May 14th.
