Watch Lizzie Deignan win the first ever Paris-Roubaix Femmes!

Welcome to a moment in history

Let it forever be written: Lizzie Deignan won the first ever women’s edition of Paris-Roubaix. After the race she was choked up, barely able to eke out her words: “I feel already emotional. I don’t know. I’m just so happy.”

She rode a perfect race. Going solo with 73 kilometers to go and holding off all challengers on what was a historic day. Teammates Elisa Longo Borghini and Audrey Cordon-Ragot took third and eighth, respectively, to put the cherry on top of what has been an incredible season-long effort by a tight knit team.

Just soak in this moment.

More from an incredible day

Deignan pulled away from the pack on the very first cobbled section of the race.

After the race, Deignan’s teammates piled in to congratulate her.

Legends all of them:

Trek-Segafredo riders and staff immediately shouted out Deignan and the squad.

To pull off the win, Deignan put in a MASSIVE effort.

The champ taking the podium!

We’ll be celebrating Deignan’s win throughout the day. Keep your eyes here, and be sure to follow Trek-Segafredo on Twitter and Instagram for more!
