World Champ wins North American Championships
Holly Lawrence is on a roll. The reigning World Champ is taking on 2017 with panache and gusto. After a win at IM 70.3 Oceanside, nothing could stop Holly from pushing the pace all the way to a win in IM 70.3 St. George, the North American championship race. In her own words,
"St. George is such a grueling course, and I really had to earn that win. I had some goals to hit on the bike, and that led to putting 7 minutes in to the rest of the field by the end of the bike. I knew I just had to run steady and I wouldn't get run down, but the hilly run course was a struggle to the finish!"
Holly took the win over Timex-Trek athlete Jeannie Seymour in second place, and Ellie Salthouse in third. The lead that Holly took to the finish line began on the bike, and ended with a margin of over three minutes.
