Our Italian champion made it two wins in two days, producing another dominant sprint in Szczecin
Jonathan Milan continued his perfect start to the Tour de Pologne, powering to victory on Stage 2 to make it back-to-back wins and strengthen his grip on the race leader’s jersey. Following Monday’s triumph in Koszalin, Jonny once again proved the fastest rider in the peloton, finishing off another outstanding team performance with a commanding sprint in Szczecin.
Starting from the seaside town of Międzyzdroje, the riders had 150.8km on the menu with a mere 579 metres climbing. An early breakaway established itself soon after the start and was allowed a controlled advantage as Jacopo Mosca kept the escape firmly within reach throughout the day.
As the race entered the final kilometres, the breakaway was swept up, setting the stage for a technical run-in to the finish. Despite the challenging finale, the Team remained composed, guiding Milan into position when it mattered most. Around the last hairpin with 400 metres to go, Jonny surfed the right wheels before unleashing the power and taking another fine win here in Poland.

"It was chaotic, but I really enjoyed it. I had fun! Once again I have to say thanks to my teammates for managing really well. I was a bit nervous I was going to get boxed in in the last kilometres, the last 3km was big roads and it’s easy to lose each other in this ‘washing machine’, but we always managed to stay more or less together and they always pushed for me. I was surprised about the gap from the guy from Astana, I didn’t see really well who was in front. I started my sprint pretty good, not too long, about 200m to go and it went really well."
