Alex is one of the best lead-out riders in the WorldTour, with the big frame, power and savvy to put sprinters in perfect position in the midst of chaos. In 2023, he helped Mads Pedersen to a scintillating stage win at the Tour de France, and also secured a bit of Grand Tour glory for himself by taking second in Rome on the final day of the Giro d'Italia. Few riders are more selfless than Alex. He'll be a key contributor to Lidl-Trek's sprint ambitions in 2024.
