Jacopo Mosca officially joined Trek-Segafredo on August 1, 2019, and extended his brief contract after the season for two more years. The Italian allrounder is familiar with the US WorldTour team, his first experience coming in 2016 as a stagiaire when he raced the Tour of Utah, the Tour of Britain – finishing in 10th overall – the Abu Dhabi Tour, as well as a few one-day events. Trek-Segafredo kept Jacopo on their radar, and his steady progression earned him another chance at the WorldTour. He joined the team for the remainder of 2019 and proved his value as a dedicated teammate in the Vuelta a España.

Questions /

If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?

Of course a fly (for my name)!

If you could borrow one cycling aptitude from any of your Trek-Segafredo teammates what would it be and from whom?

Matteo Moschetti. I would like to be as fast as him on the bike and as calm as him off the bike.

What’s one of your favorite memories from the past year?

Joining Trek-Segafredo. Especially since I was without a team after 2018. It really shows that you should never give up and continue to insist on your dreams.

What is your favorite Bontrager or Trek equipment?

My Madone.
