Ilaria, a.k.a. "Yaya," is one of the savviest and most experienced lead-out riders in the world. She joined Lidl-Trek in 2023 to race alongside her close friend, and former World Champion, Elisa Balsamo. Together, they form one of the most fearsome finishing tandems in the peloton. Ilaria is the consummate teammate — selfless, upbeat, and unrelentingly hard working. And when given the green light, she can snatch a win for herself, as she did in 2022 at the semi-classic Dwars door het Hageland. Ilaria's energy and joy are infectious within the squad. She has quickly become a pivotal member of Lidl-Trek in so many ways.
