Lauretta
Hanson
Australian Lauretta Hanson raced in the USA for six years before leaping to Europe and the WorldTour with Trek-Segafredo in the team's first year of existence. It didn't take long for Lauretta to adapt to the harsh European cycling lifestyle: navigating the narrow roads amid a bigger, more aggressive peloton became a natural fit. The grueling spring classics with cobbles, cold weather, and wind became some of her favorites. She is a strong all-rounder with a big engine and even bigger heart. Lauretta is a treasured teammate who embraces her role in supporting her teammates.

Answers
What’s your secret talent that no one knows about?
I'm not sure if it's a secret, but I like to think I'm good at car karoake. If I know a song, I can't help but sing along.
If you could borrow one cycling aptitude from any of your Trek-Segafredo teammates what would it be and from whom?
I'd borrow some of Lucinda's descending skills, because I love the feeling of flying down hill.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
I left home at 18 and moved to America to race bikes. I had never travelled on my own, and I had never been overseas, but it set me on a path to where I am.
