Last November, Emil Johansson became just the second rider ever to secure the Crankworx Triple Crown of Slopestyle for pulling off three slopestyle victories in a calendar year. The win was, incredibly, his sixth in a row, and in that string he may not have had a harder battle than his trip to New Zealand.
Long travel, quarantine, wind and rain made the event a challenge, not to mention the insane competition. But through that adversity, Johansson secured one of the biggest honors of his already legendary career.
