Racing the clock
As we passed the midway point and entered stage 6 of the Giro Rosa, the racers were treated to more climbing thanks to a 12.1 km uphill time trial. Starting in Chiuro and twisting its way up to Teglio, today was a crucial stage for those battling it out for the general classification.

Fact of the day: Within the municipality of Chiuro stands a medieval tower known as the Torre di Roncisvalle. At 15 m tall, the tower provides an excellent view of Valtellina.
