Kickers, cobbles and climbing
Starting in Sagliano Micca, the peloton was treated to a down hill start as they wound their way down the valley towards Lago di Viverone. With two short steep kickers and an intermediate sprint, there was plenty of action before the bunch had even started the final climb. Sitting at the top of a category 2 GPM, today’s narrow and cobbled finish into Piedicavallo offered a tough final to the 104.1 km stage
