A Lidl peek at the Tour de France Femmes🇫🇷

Load up the team van, we're heading to Vannes!

A diagonal sweep across France from Brittany to the Alps, covering approximately 1,165 km with a staggering 17,240 meters of climbing, this fourth edition is lining up to be the most exciting yet! Nine stages, record distance and elevation, this is the longest and most demanding Tour de France Femmes ever.

With sprint-friendly flat stages, punchy hilly battles, and summit finishes, we have the riders that can take glory on any terrain.

Elisa Balsamo is ready to rock on the early flat stages around Brittany, while Niamh Fisher-Black has her eyes firmly on the high mountains that come later in the week.

Sports Director, Jeroen Blijlevens, on the team’s goals..

We want to go for a stage win in this Tour in sprints with Elisa but also breakaways with the others. Like we did in the Giro Women, get in the break and try win from there. We also have Niamh Fisher Black who we hope can go for a result in the GC.

Niamh on her GC hopes..

I’m not entirely sure what to expect from this years TDFF, the parcours can make for a very unpredictable race. Which in itself excites me. However it goes without saying, there is high expectation for this race. We definitely look for success in the 9 days, I’m confident that it’s possible. I’ve seen firsthand the work of my team mates the last few weeks. My level is also good so I endeavour to fight for stage wins alongside my team mates.

I most look forward to the final three stages. But as I say this is 9 days of very open racing , there will be endless opportunities that present themselves. We will be constantly attentive for those.
I am motivated by this strategy and excited to see what comes of it.
