Take a walk down memory lane as we look back on our five consecutive victories at Trofeo Alfredo Binda.
Starting with the most recent…
Elisa Balsamo won her third Trofeo Alfredo Binda – one of the most-established standalone one-day races for women – in four years, proving once again why she is one of the sport’s most dominant sprinters. The Lidl-Trek rider surged to victory after a thrilling chase in the final kilometers.
2025

It was a red-hot final, with a key moment coming eight kilometers from the line when a dangerous break of six threatened to steal the show. However, the peloton was able to reel in the group, and as they were poised to make contact, Pieterse launched a fresh attack, taking three riders with her. This group looked sure to contest the win, but were caught on the final corner, in time for Balsamo to unleash her sprint and win the race for the third time.
2024

Balsamo also the fastest and strongest on the long finish straight in Cittiglio in 2024, managing the sprint in the best possible way and leaving the world champion Lotte Kopecky and Puck Pieterse in her wake.
2023

Shirin Van Anrooij took a solo maiden professional victory ahead of teammate Elisa Balsamo who won the bunch sprint for second.
The young Dutch talent arrived at the finish line 23 seconds ahead of the group, after an impressively strong ride and a well-timed attack with 25km to go that no one could respond to.
2022

If there was any question of the Team’s plan coming into Trofeo Alfredo Binda in 2022, by the final kilometers, the strategy was clear. The entire squad was committed to bringing Elisa Balsamo, in her rainbow jersey, to the finish to launch her world champion sprint.
2021

Elisa Longo Borghini soloed to a brilliant win in 2021, matching the men’s team’s thrilling victory by Jasper Stuyven in Milano-Sanremo a day earlier.
Special mention!

While we technically can’t count them as Team wins as Lizzie Deignan did not race as part of the Trek family at the time, the British rider has also won Trofeo Alfredo Binda with back-to-back victories in 2015 and 2016.
