Trek Factory Racing XC battles in first World Cup
The first World Cup of the season is off and away! It was a battle for the top spots of the day, but both races saw big action, with new winners for men’s and women’s races, and Trek Factory Racing riders snagging good finishes.
In all, a solid day for the women;
Evie Richards in 8th
Jolanda Neff in 17th
Emily Batty in 28th
Hattie Harnden (U-23) in 4th
It was a pretty good race for me. I was in the lead group with five riders. But the last two laps was too hard for me. Legs were out and I lost a lot of place in the last lap. Not the result I expected but the shape is here. Another chance Sunday!
-Stephane Tempier-
"I was missing a little bit of spark on the first couple of laps but I felt very strong over the second half of the race and managed to move through the field well to take 7th. Now time to try recover and race well in round number 2!"
-Anton Cooper-
For the men, a good day out.
Anton Copper in 7th
Stephane Tempier in 13th.
