The future is now

Trek BC Devo brings the talent of tomorrow, today

Have you ever wanted to see the future? Congratulations, now you can. Behold Trek BC Devo. The new mountain bike development team brought to you by the legend himself, Andrew Shandro.

The team has already been racing, with wins at NW Cup DH, a win and top-10s in Canadian National Enduro Series, and podiums at Pro GRT Port Angeles.

The future is bright. Bring sunglasses.

Your first rider is Lucas Cruz from Pemberton BC. This DH focused rider scored good results in 2016 including bronze in the Canadian open and silver in the Air DH at Crankworx Whistler. Lucas would prefer to always be ripping the Whistler Bike Park, and is looking to make his mark at the Crankworx Canadian Open this year.

Your next favorite rider is enduro slayer Evan Mant. This North Vancouver resident loves to ride Revelstoke, Santa Cruz, or anywhere that throws loamy conditions. 2016 highlights saw the overall win in the U-21 Canadian National Enduro. Goals for Evan are top-5s in Colorado and Whistler EWS.

North Vancouver also brings us Ethan Shandro. Ethan loves to ride his back yard, and enjoy the bountiful MTB fruits along the Sea to Sky corridor. 2016 saw a solid year with wins in U-15 BC Champs, a second at National Champs for his age group, and solid local wins. Look for Ethan to push the competition, and himself, in DH races at the Crankworx series, and DH races throughout the Pacific Northwest in 2017.

Jessie McAuley calls Squamish home, and is lucky to enjoy world class riding right around the block. After a mixed discipline 2016 of both DH and enduro, Jessie will commit to enduro, working towards top-5s in EWS 2017. 2016 proved to be a solid foundation to build, with the BC Cup overall for his age group, a third at nationals, and podiums in BC Enduro events.
