Olympian Ben Kanute wins early season IM 70.3
It was a successful test of early season form for US Olympian Ben Kanute when he won this weekend’s IM 70.3 Texas event. Ben came into the event with high hopes, but didn’t know what to expect from a stacked field of competitors.
"It was a grind today, " said Ben Kanute. "The warmest part of the day was the wet suit swim. I raced my plan perfectly. Pushed the swim, rode steady on the bike and ran strong to keep my lead. There was a bit of a battle on the front with Starky, but I was alone for a lot of the race. Overall a very solid day and happy to take the win! Excited to carry this momentum into my next races!"
