Spratty rounds off a great week in Spain with third on GC

Reaction from Amanda Spratt plus photos from the final stage below...

Catcing up with Spratty after the podium

We came in with the team goal of to get a top 3 on the GC so we achieved that. I think particularly yesterday I was really happy with my ride there, to be climbing as well as I did. Today the team did another really good job of protecting Gaia and me. That break went and chapeau to the two riders who were able to hold on to the line. We put Gaia in there and unfortunately she just couldn't quite hold on but we are really proud of her and how she raced as well. She is a really young rider and she is improving with every race, proving her worth with every race, and she is a really great teammate to have. I am excited to see what she can do this year and beyond.

A selfie to start the day

Ilaria Sanguineti was part of a large breakaway that went on the first climb of the day

At the top of the second climb, Sanquineti sat up to wait for her teammates and to help Elisa Balsamo put them into the perfect position for the final climb.

Spratty showing consistently strong early season form

Only two other riders could follow Gaia Realini when she attacked on the final climb but ultimately the downhill run into the line didn't suit the Team's young Italian climber.
