Ellen
van Dijk

Ellen is renowned for her time trial ability. She won the World Championship individual time trial for the second time in 2021, a memorable victory after eight years of trying to reclaim the coveted rainbow jersey. Ellen also excels in tough one-day classics, winning the Tour of Flanders, Dwars door Vlaanderen twice, and finishing third in Liège-Bastogne-Liège. In 2022, Ellen undertook one of the biggest challenges of her career: The Hour Record. Having perfected every minute detail with her team of engineers, aerodynamicists and coach, Ellen smashed the existing record, covering 49.254km in one hour of pain. Ellen also captured nine victories that year, including a third world time trial title in Wollongong, Australia. In 2023, she accomplished another major milestone: Having her first child. After taking a break from racing, she will suit up with Lidl-Trek again in 2024, ready to take on all comers.
