After a long apprenticeship, at the age of 28 Ilaria Sanguineti is ready to take the leap into the WorldTour and face what she described as ‘the chance of a lifetime.' Ilaria (a.k.a. Yaya) is one of the most known faces in the peloton and, without a doubt, one of the most experienced and knowledgeable lead out rider in the sprints. Now paired with a faster than ever Elisa Balsamo, she’s ready to try to lay down the law in the most important sprints of the season. In nine years as professional rider, Ilaria has proven to be a rider able to fight her own wins, as she successfully did in 2022 in the semi-classic Dwars door het Hageland. In the midst of her maturation as an athlete, Ilaria will now be able to play her role as key team member and competitive sprinter with renewed motivation.
