Thibau entered the racing scene under immense pressure as the son of cyclocross legend Sven Nys. As he has stepped into the elite and WorldTour ranks, he has more than lived up to the name. On the cyclocross side, he won the U23 World Championship during the 2022-23 season, opened the 2023-24 season with his first career elite World Cup win, and won the Elite European Championship early in the 2024-25 season. On the road side, he won eight stages in 2024, as well as the general and points classifications at the Tour de Hongrie. Thibau keeps proving he's up to any task, making him one of the most exciting young riders in pro cycling today.
