Harnden
Hailing from the hills of West Malvern, England, Hattie Harnden had her best year yet in 2021 racing cyclocross, cross country and enduro. Where to begin? How about becoming the youngest rider ever to win an elite Enduro World Series event and finishing fourth overall? She also added a U23 British cross country national championship to go with her two junior XC and two junior cyclocross titles. Hattie is a product of T-Mo Racing, where she learned under the tutelage of the great Tracy Moseley. The influence shows. Hattie is one of the most talented and versatile riders in the world, and her come up has been extraordinary to watch!
Questions /
Answers
What hooked you to dig into moutain biking?
I tried it with a couple friends and loved it. Then my local cycling club, Malvern Cycle Sport, kept encouraging me to ride. Now, I get to go back and help teach kids at the club during the summer.
How is it to have Tracy Moseley as a mentor?
We get on really well and she has helped me in so many ways. I admire her composed and smooth riding style.
What do you like to do when you're not on a bike?
I spend a lot of time cooking. One of my favorite meals to cook for my parents and brothers is a chicken, leek, and ham pie, and I like to put a healthier twist on the recipe.
