In the end, we did everything we could to catch the break, but it was an incredibly strong breakaway and it was just not possible. We got some good points today though, so it's a mix of a feelings right now. We can be happy with, at least, the amount of points.
I was having a bit of an internal battle, me, myself and I, on this deep climb, but I managed to set my own pace and do a few over-the-top sprints to make it back. All in all, a really good day and going into the rest day with a good feeling. Bring on next week.
The final didn't play out in our favour, but it was an incredibly strong group out there. We couldn't do more with the guys we had. They did absolutely everything. In the end, we scored a lot of points, and that was the main goal of the day.
