Queen of them all
Stage 5 of the Giro Rosa was one that brought a sense of excitement for some and fear for others as the racers set off in Ponte in Valtellina. Initially planned to finish atop the Passo Gavia, landslides in the region caused a change to the route that saw the finish moved to Lago di Cancano. Despite the lower elevation and shorter distance, it still made for an incredibly hard stage that caused a big shake up in the general classification.
Length: 87.5 km / 54.4 miles
Start: Ponte in Valtellina
