Jasper
Stuyven
Jasper Stuyven won the Junior World Championships road title in 2009, won Paris-Roubaix Juniors in 2010, and followed that with a second place in his first U23 Paris-Roubaix a year later. Still, Jasper waited to sign a WorldTour contract, not wanting to rush into a pro career. He is the longest-standing member of Lidl-Trek beginning with the birth of the team in 2014. Jasper's prowess is in one-day races, notably the spring Classics, and his sprinting ability makes him a threat from a breakaway or at the end of long, challenging races. He owns a collection of significant victories: Stage 8 of the Vuelta a España (2015), Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne (2016), two stages in the BinckBank Tour (2017, 2018), GC of Deutschland Tour (2019) and added the opening spring Classic, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, to the list in 2020. He topped these all with the biggest win of his career in 2021: Milano-Sanremo. When he’s not ripping it up at a bike race, Jasper can often be found making delicious candy at Chocolade Atelier Stuyven, a shop he co-owns with his uncle.
