Mattias
Skjelmose

Trek-Segafredo continued to invest in young talent when they added Mattias Skjelmose to the Team in 2021. The young Dane was a world-class junior in 2018, winning the Tour du Pays de Vaud, second at the Peace Race, and third at Paris-Roubaix. He has all the makings of a Grand Tour rider and on his WorldTour debut at the UAE Tour, he finished sixth overall. Mattias continued to show his ability as a future GC leader throughout 2021, but it was in 2022 that his results really started to get noticed by the wider cycling world. The young Dane racked up five GC podiums during the season before finally getting his much-deserved first pro win: Tour of Luxembourg Stage 4, as well as the overall race. After a breakout year in 2022, who knows what awaits Mattias Skjelmose? We can’t wait to find out!
